When I was on the search, it took me a while to find a host that met my criteria. I found LeadHoster, and have been using their services ever since.

They are 100% free unless you want to pay for more, and they don't serve ads on your site. You can get more than one subdomain off your same account, if you need two. I use two, and only have to sign into one account to access either one.
