No, "had" is never correct in that phrase. It is possible that the same basic message could be communicated by the phrase "had you paid more attention you would have ____" But the more common-phrase uses "have" since it follows would or could.

I don't know why but I have an idea why. The administrators working for Google must be stupid, that's the only explanation I can come up with. I'm having the same problem now, I often search Images and Videos on Google. But now when I want to do that I have to do it the long way. By going to the Google homepage, and then clicking Images or videos, then typing in my search.

Hopefully the administrators at Google will see sense one day and put it back to the old layout, and get rid of that stupid "show options" [...]

I agree about reading reviews. Now I usually just check Rotten Tomatoes in advance to see how a film is doing. I really enjoy reading reviews afterwards, though. It's like having a chance to chat about the movie with someone afterwards, someone who actually knows a lot about film.

I read one positive review of The Village that talked about how “only 2 of his 5″ films actually had “twist” endings. I'm not sure which two films the reviewer meant (surely The Sixth Sense…and maybe The Village?), but I agree that if you're not constantly trying to guess the ending, [...]
