Does anybody know of any free web hosting sites?
I’m looking for one that allows you to have your domain like this: yourdomainhere.com
It’s fine if it has ads.
It needs to be "bloggish"

I know you said free and I hope you don’t mind me saying, but I personally would just use a site like http://order.1and1.com that just charges $4 per month. It’s a lot better than all the crap you have to go through with a free hosting service. If you want a free one, I’d just tell you to google "free web hosting" but most of the sites you get will probably be cluttered and won’t allow you to use some features.

If you are just wanting to set up a personal blog I can recommend either google blogger or WordPress they both run free hosting accounts for your blog. It really depends on whether you are looking to monetize your blog or not, if you are wanting to make money with your blog you do really do need to have a paid hosting account but these are really cheap these days.

You must pay for it. Free services offer a sub-domain, not a real domain name. This means your site address will be something like http://yoursite.freewebs.com, not http://www.yoursite.com. This way your website doesn’t look professional. On the other hand, there are some limitations with free web hosting services. You can go to godaddy.com. I believe they have several of the extensions. If you want to pay for them all in 1 order you can, just check the boxes. I don't think there are any websites that have all the extensions though.

The standard for web site creation is (was) Microsoft Frontpage – if you've got MS Office you'll have Frontpage installed. Once you've got the hang of this you can experiement with Dreamweaver, Flash etc. You can also use MS Word to create webpages – just change the file type to html when saving.
Frontpage was discontinued a few months ago and Microsoft introduced 2 web design programs – Expression and Sharepoint. These may be packaged with the latest versions of Office.
