5 Quick Tips for Choosing an Inexpensive Web Hosting That Will Help you Grow your Business and Make you Happier

Posted by – August 7, 2010

One of the most common questions asked by newbie webmaster with no previous knowledge in web hosting whatsoever is what kind of web hosting should I choose? This is a very common problem faced by many people who have just started out in building their first website. Needless to say, an inexpensive web hosting is definitely what most people want because not everyone can afford dedicated servers as they are very expensive.

Before you take out your credit card and order an inexpensive web hosting solution, here are five quick tips to ensure that you will get the best buying experience:

Tip #1: Plan first before you buy. This is the single mistake that most newbie webmaster make when they purchase their first web hosting package. If you’re planning to host a single page website, what’s the need to buy an ultra hosting account with 50gb of web space? On the other hand, if you’re planning to host more than one website, why not take advantage of multiple domains hosting package?

Tip #2: Always find some reviews on the web hosting you intend to buy. While this can sometimes be ineffective, generally it’s a great idea to listen the opinions and views of other past users who had tried and used the web hosting you intend to buy. Sometimes you got to be careful too because some of the reviews are written by the web hosting company’s employees themselves. Generally speaking, if more than 60 percent of the users complained about the web hosting service, you should start searching for another web hosting solution.

Tip #3: Understand the market. Shop a few web hosting companies first and compare the prices of each of them. This will give you a general idea of what the market is before you find yourself paying too much for a particular web hosting plan. If they can justify the extra dollars they charge for their web hosting services in a satisfactory way, then it’s worth buying their web hosting package. The cheapest web hosting plan is not always the best plan and the same is also true for the most expensive web hosting plan.

Tip #4: Talk to the customer support staff. This is a great way to test the response time of a web hosting company in terms of customer service. If the company values their customer, they will hire some people to handle any problems faced by their clients. If the response time is too slow and the customer service representatives are rude and lazy, you can be sure that you won’t get the best web hosting experience with them.

Tip #5: Make sure the web hosting company is reputable. A lot of web hosting sites are actually scams and they often advertise their services with lots of features at ridiculously low price. It’s very important that you can to see if the web hosting site is reputable to do business with. If they are in business for more than 2-3 years, you can be sure that they won’t simply just disappear one day.

Those are the five simple tips on choosing an inexpensive web hosting that you can rely on. For more information on inexpensive web hosting, you can read the inexpensive web hosting article.

In fact, many businesses these days can’t afford even a few minutes of downtime where their customers can’t access their site. That means that choosing a reliable web hosting service has become mission critical for most business owners. But that can be easier said than done given the hundreds of options out there that range from local mom-and-pop providers to national providers like Go Daddy and Rackspace, all of which range in terms of their price and service offerings. But how do you know whether you need [...]

    No.

Here is a more tanglible example. Suppose a store buys widgets for $5 each and sells them for $20 each. One day they donate 5 widgets to charity ($100 worth).

They would get a deduction of only $25.00. The cost of the 5 widgets. The fact that they would normally sell for $100 is irrelevant.

In the same way, if you donate a service, your deduction is the cost to produce that service. In most cases: $0.00.
