you need to check to see if your browser is set to "disable images"

Internet Explorer:
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
about mid way down the scroll bar, check the option under the category Multimedia, "Show Pictures"

Firefox:
Tools > Options > Content
check the box "Load Images Automatically"

FYI-
that text is "alt" information set by the developers, so people who don't have images don't feel so left out. It also helps the blind navigate the site, as all text on the web page will be read out loud to them by special software.

Hi Anne

I have accounts with Flickr, Photobucket, Yahoo and Webshots for my photo's and I definitely prefer Photobucket out of all of those. It's easy to upload and navigate around and I've never had a problem logging on or uploading which is more than I can say for the others, Doesn't seem to have all the fancy slideshows and rotating boxes though for putting on your blog. Depends what you prefer )
