hes withdrawing because he's probably unsure of what to do and how to react to his emotions. hes taking time to really think about everything and make sure he says the right thing instead of the wrong. hes def scared he'll get hurt. reach out to him, because sometimes i overanalyze things and psych myself out and end up missing out on things. just call him or text him and be like "hey lets hangout i miss you"

First thing I would do is enroll in a beginning writing course. Check at your local community college and see what they might have. Even an online course would be good. it looks like you like romantic books more then scifi. The public library is free so you can check out books, see if you like them and if you don't just bring it back to the library. No money lost, maybe just a little time. The library has a plethora of information about reading and writing, take advantage of it
