It really depends on what scripts your website is built on, how man pictures your website has, how many visitors it gets, etc.

In order to get a feeling for this: Install your website, upload all pictures and then check out how much disk space you used. Then every few days check your bandwidth usage.

If it is your reseller account, it doesn't really matter:

-Just give them a bit and when the websites need more, you can easily allocate more. (For example a fresh website will usually not need more than 500MB of disk space and say 10GB of [...]

Good web hosts have a backup plan that kicks in every 24 hours. If yours does not, it’s up to you to backup daily

You need a reseller acount if you wish to become a hos provider while allowing your clients access to their own control panels. Be aware though that unlimited bandwidth does not exist! If you suddenly started hosting something like ebay they would pull the plug until a hefty fee was agreed. See for more help.

There's not really any difference between the two. Web space is the space on someone's server dedicated for your site, web hosting is just the act of having that space on the internet.
