I think their argument is that someone had to be able to reduce the entropy in the universe so that there could be enough order for life to exist. Since we can't break the laws of thermodynamics, only God could be capable of doing such a thing, at least according to them.

some new, free ships. The Commander-tier Excelsior can be purchased with energy credits (so, if you have the EC, you could fly that bad boy right now!), and the Galaxy-X and Excelsior aside, the new refits can be purchased with in-game merits, and you get get one free upon getting to Vice Admiral. It isn't perfect, but that's the way this cookie has crumbled.

And yes, ground combat is damn annoying against medics. But I was starting to get really tired of the Klingons and their damn melee.]]>

(PhysOrg.com) -- Buddies and mechanical engineers, Dave Petrillo and Dave Jackson, have, thanks to Kickstart.com, begun a business selling the Coffee Joulie (clearly a play on the word for joule, a unit of energy, and jewel, the stuff you wear as bling), a stainless steel bean they’ve invented that will first cool a hot drink, then maintain it at a consistent 140°F (60° Celsius) temperature for up to five hours if the container is kept closed.

Its a shame that stupidity cant be converted into a usable energy source. Our planet would be powered smoothly by all the idiots roaming it.

Creationists are yet to discover the sun. From a creationist discussion forum:

"One of the most basic laws in the universe is the Second Law of Thermodynamics. This states that as time goes by, entropy in an environment will increase. Evolution argues differently against a law that is accepted EVERYWHERE BY EVERYONE. Evolution says that we started out simple, and over time became more complex. That just isn't possible: UNLESS there is a giant outside source of energy supplying the Earth with huge amounts of energy. If there were such a source, scientists would certainly know about it."

Cells use something called respiration to break down food particles. Note that this only is for the molecular level, I'm not that clear about the digestive track.
What is respiration?
It's the opposite of photosynthesis.
Cells require oxygen, water, and a food molecule (like glucose, a sugar). THe food particle is broken down in the jello-ish cytoplasm in a cell. This releases only a little energy. THe cell the then breaks it down and releases energy along with wast products. This occurs in mitochondria, or the things that look like grape Jelly-Bellys in my science book. The energy is used [...]

these would be all natural sources of complex carbohydrates like lentils, whole oats, beans, etc. these foods are complex carbohydrates that are high in fiber and low GI but provide lasting energy for hours but are are low calorie per serving.
