Can u suggest a good web hosting site?

Posted by – November 29, 2010

I wanna know a good shared web hosting company where it should have the option of hosting multiple domains from a single account.
i request you to please do not answer this by looking at a couple of sites reviewing web hosting. as far as i know they are not true. so it would be better if u have personal experience or just let me know ur suggestion.

Thanks in advance.

IT SHOUL HAVE THIS FEATURES
1.good web space
2.good bandwidth
3.able to host multiple domains per single account
4.servers should be fast reliable

Yes, In fact I can recommend three, one free and two paid. Depending on your needs.

Byethost has free web hosting with four plans to pick from, one of them gets you 20GB of bandwidth, 250MB of storage, 2 MySQL databases and 20 subdomains, that one is free more here, http://www.byethost.com/

But right now I am hosting my site on Hasweb, http://www.hasweb.com/ with their Average plan which gets you 2GB of storage, 35GB of bandwidth but doesn’t support multiple domains, however, that plan is $48 per year. They have additional plans for hosting multiple domains per each account ranging from 1 to 10 domains across all price levels but each one also gets you more storage and bandwidth.

In my experience with Hasweb (I have been with them for a little over a year), the uptime is 99.9% my site has never been down for more than two hours per month, so they are very reliable and have excellent email support, just don’t try to actually call them. All in all, Hasweb is an excellent host but read on for another option that might appeal to you.

Or if you want here is a third option, Dreamhost, http://www.dreamhost.com/shared/comparison.html which is currently offering with their Level 1 hosting, 20GB of storage, 1TB of bandwidth which increases 8GB weekly, 3000 user accounts, unlimited domain and subdomain hosting and it comes to $7.95 per month with a two year pre-payment. I have heard good things about them as well and it would be very hard to beat the deal they are offering right now. That is a limited time offer and I don’t know how long it is good for.

Review of 1&1 web hosting?

Posted by – November 23, 2010

What do you think about this company for hosting a website? For those of you that use them or used to use them, are there any hidden fees or things Ishould watch out for?

The only people that recommend hostmonster are the ones who want the referral money (around $45 per account).

DO NOT go with the BIG hosting companies! The support sux and they could care less about downtime! Dont be fooled by the "500 GB storage space" – it’s bull! Websites are SMALL – and wouldn’t even use 1% of the 500 gb.

Email me, and I’ll get you a hosting account that you’ll never want to leave! 30 day money-back guarantee! No questions asked.

How do I make a ratings/reviews website using a Web Hosting Site?

Posted by – November 20, 2010

I would like to make a Ratings/Review website with many categories for people to choose from based on one certain topic. They can enter in new information or a new product.

Is this possible through Yahoo Site Builder or any other Web Hosting services? Please let me know only if you are certain you know.

Thank you for your time.

You’ll probably want to build your site and incorporate a rating/review script or program of some kind. Several are available including the following:

Hope that helps.

where can I find the best web host reviews?

Posted by – November 14, 2010

I’ve seen some good enough reviews on the web (best seems to be from http://best-web-host.webs.com) but most others are from corrupt sites that place each site in order according to the money the ads pay! Got any suggestions?

Yawn…. Let me guess. You own best-web-host.webs.com. but you want people to think you don’t. Ask a real question and stop advertising.

Web hosting reviews website?

Posted by – November 8, 2010

Is there a web site where I can provide feedback on some web hosting companies I’ve dealt with. I would like a space to reveal some of tricks they use to get customers to sign for unlimited this and that…etc

Most sites wouldn’t post new feedback unless they are genuinly interested in real users comments. Try http://www.cheapwebhostingplus.com

what’s the best site for web hosting reviews?

Posted by – November 4, 2010

looking for a site that provides a reliable recommendation for my business

I suggest to go with a trusted source, where you know who are the people that write the reviews:

The three that I find most reliable are:

http://reviews.cnet.com/Basic_hosting/7026-6541_7-0.html?tag=tool1

http://www.procompare.com/Find_Products/Web%20Hosting/Web%20Hosting

The ProCompare.com one has a cool slider that allows you to personalize your search.

best web hosting provider?

Posted by – October 28, 2010

I have read many shared web hosting reviews and in fact asked a question a few days agon on Yahoo answers however I believe I closed the question by mistake.

I am looking for reliablity, EXPECIALLY good customer support, and advanced features. As I am IT pro, I am looking for a reliable business hosting for a client. Customer support must be great. Tons of features should be available. PHP based. What I’m looking at here is not cheap but a value for money option. Cheap of course would be better but don’t want to compromise.

Some people recommended HostMonster.com, Slicehost.com (not interested in VPS plan),inmotionhosting.com, bluehost.com.

So my top 3 in the list are:
1) bluehost
2) inmotionhosting
3) HostMonster

However ratings at http://www.besthostratings.com at not a wow….

Any personal experience to share please?

Cheers

Anyone been with MediaEnd (www.mediaend.com) or Steadfast (Steadfast.com)

Could anyone please point out own experience? Any recommendations?.Please don’t recommend by just sending review links – been through that already.

Thanks
I thought I will give some hosts a some stress tests myself :) . For anyone looking for a host like me, here’s some feedback
- Inmotion support never replied my email, Live chat took 4 mins for initial response. After my 2nd question I’ve received
a reply after another 5 mins and stopped replying after my 3nd question without any notice.
- Powweb – Support facility is quite basic.
- Fatcow good support response and helful however no demo cpanel site, and lack features such as fantastico.
- HostMonster good support for round 1. However on round 2, the other operator was not so friendly. As for backups, the tech guy that backups MAY be taken on a weekly basis…MAYBE lol…(guess all depends on the sys admin mood)
- Weblaunchingpad lousy techical support.
- HostGator very good support however prices are more expensive than competitors
-JustHost VERY good support for round 1. However on round 2, the other operator was not so friendly.

Also another hosting asked me to confirm my identity by specifing the cpanel admin password!! (yes your password) or paypal
reference number.

Anyone else can share own experience with HostGator or Justhost.com?

Ok, I use http://www.hostmonsterplus.com
I used to use Blue Host, but it appears their IP has some issues with the Chinese firewall.

Host Monster and Blue Host and actually the same company, or 2 sub divisions of 1 mother company. The only difference is that http://www.hostmonsterplus.com is cheaper, handles a few more databases per account and has no problems with the Chinese firewall.

As for inmotion, when I was reading reviews, I wasn’t overly impressed by the amount of complaints I’ve read around, and I’ve never had a reason to leave Host Monster. So I can’t give a real review on them.

But out of Host Monster and Blue Host, go for Host Monster.
Also, if you do choose Blue Host and can’t get onto it while in China, use the Host Monster support and tell them you’re from Blue Host and your problem, it’s the same support people so you can still contact them there, but it’s best to avoid the problem all together in all honesty.

Good luck, and I hope you enjoy your choice. If you have any issues you can PM me.
