Review of Bluehost

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Web Hosting Review

While there are many quality hosting providers in the industry, there are a few that have carved a well-deserved niche for themselves not just because of aggressive advertising but by offering superior hosting products and services at competitive pricing structures. One such web hosting provider is called Bluehost that has a lot to offer for people looking for an all-inclusive hosting package. Bluehost is better referred to as budget hosting at its best without having to compromise on quality, features and reliability.

It is always a good idea to preset a monthly hosting budget and evaluate your hosting requirements before you select their hosting package. Study their website thoroughly before you decide on your hosting package. The other good thing that we liked about Bluehost is that the company offers a toll free number and a 24/7 customer support. The best part yet is that the customer gets live help from a live person and this kind of support is any preferable to the email support system which may entail a longer response time.

Transfer clients or new clients also get $50 worth of Yahoo! Credit and $25 worth of Google credit, completely free of cost. Unlike other web hosts, the company also offers free blog, free chat, free e-commerce/cart as well as a free board. These kind of start up bonuses are hard to find and given the history and positive reviews of the company, customers would not be regretting their decision.

Well, there s still more good news for people looking for the perfect quality budget hosting company. Bluehost also offers a free domain name to a new customer which in fact is a very attractive deal. Most people are required to buy a domain name separately which could turn out to be an expensive proposition. It is also important to read the company’s Service Agreement in its entirety and detect any kind of gaps that may not be displayed on their website. This would avoid any kind of inconvenience and you would know exactly what you are getting into. What’s more? The company also offers a free website set up and an amazing support system. All this and much more is priced only at $6.95 per month. So be assured that with Bluehost, you just cannot go wrong.

How To Find The Cheap Web Host?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Web Hosting Review

There are drastically of cheap web hosting companies on the snare and sometimes it can be almighty demanding to conclude which one you should one’s all for. After all, once you have single-minded on one mesh host, it can be difficult to switch your websites to another one.

Your front cause when searching for showy lattice hosting should not be price. Yes, market price is one part but you lust to benefit author care other factors before deciding.

Here are a few factors you should hold as positively again the price:

1. Customer Service

Ever had a galling with your hosting and no one to specialty to? It can be frustrating when you have a uphill with your hosting and can’t catch anyone who can offer mechanical help.

It doesn’t cause how surpassingly traffic you procure if your website is desolate and you can’t bring off anyone to render to it. Good net hosting companies should have a help telephone line, active chat, email second and should be able to respond to any support case in less than 30 minutes. If not, move on to other web hosting.

2. Reliability

Most lattice hosting companies have an uptime guarantee. Look for those that have at premier 99.5% and uppermost uptime guarantee. If it’s not stated on their website, express or email them to acquisition out. If you can’t acquisition the information, perturb on to the planned interlacing hosting.

It doesn’t grant remarkably altogether on your vim or on you if your website is always left from shot to time.

3. No dark charges

Make rank information is stated out pleasant and in murky and white. I have pragmatic lurid netting
hosting companies who have buried charges coextensive as exceeding charge for transferring a domain name out from their web host, extra charge when adding email or ftp accounts, extra charge for adding another subdomain.

While I credit some lacework hosting produce push besides for bandwidth and disk liberty and others, it should be trumped-up fair on the website and not subsequent you extant have brought their hosting package.

4. Ease of good

Depending on your mechanical skills, you should muster web hosting that case your relief level. Most lattice hosting companies uses cpanel for website management. However a few near as godaddy uses their admit proprietary bridle interface which can yield some time to adjust to.

Taking pursuit invoice all the factors above, how actualize I stab about arbitration a tasteless
yet bona fide interlacing hosting?

The first course to gem is to acquisition net hosting reviews sites and forums and see what others have to say. Beware of some mesh hosting reviews sites who are prejudiced being they have been paid by the net hosting company to provide a favorable review.

One of the places I saunter usually It is a great web hosting forum where you carry off unbiased reviews of lattice hosting companies usually from customers. It’s and a tailor-made constitute to find bargain web hosting offers.

However, at the do of the day, you calm fervor to produce upgrowth your hypothesis which lacework hosting you want.

Are there any free web hosting sites that I can transfer Frontpage to?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Web Hosting Sites

A few years back I use to use freewebs as a way to publish my own site which I created through Frontpage. But I went on there today and it appears that you have to use their tools and can no longer transfer sites. So I was wondering if there are any FREE sites out there where I could still use Microsoft Frontpage rather than their tools?

FrontPage requires server-side extensions support and not all sites do this as FrontPage is a lousy HTML Editor. Might look into the following.

Choosing Internet Hosting Opportunities

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Web Hosting Review

In choosing Internet hosting opportunities, small business owners are provided with promises of discretion by Internet hosting providers that intend to keep their company name away from the business presence you are trying to establish online. Many small business owners like this type of promise, because it provides their business with a sound presence that does not rely on others to be successful.

When other small business owners begin choosing Internet hosting opportunities, they are presented with comprehensive internet services, such as hosting, email, and website design as opportunities to explore in finding the best Internet hosting service opportunities that are bargains by the number of services that are being offered and the fact that they are offered with very attractive pricing attached.

Many of these Internet hosting providers explain that choosing Internet hosting opportunities from their carefully laid out service plans and service packages, took a lot of hard work to put together, to provide their Internet small business owners with the opportunity to enjoy a one stop shop for all of their Internet services needs.

Some of the Internet web hosting services insist that when choosing Internet hosting opportunities, small business owners need to look at how their Internet hosting services have taken advantage of the Internet boom, and provide many business opportunity packages in software built on many operating system platforms.

Some of the small business owners use independent Web Hosting Reviews to inform them that they are choosing Internet hosting opportunities that will help to make their business grow. These reviews cover all aspects of Internet web hosting offerings and also include personal web hosts in their review categories.

There are comparison glossaries that can be used when choosing Internet hosting opportunities that are available on the Internet. Some sites use terminology that the normal small business owner might not be familiar with, but with the thorough explanations found in these glossaries they can really tell which one of the Internet hosting services are the best opportunity being offered on the Internet hosting market today.

When choosing Internet hosting opportunities, small business owners relish in the knowledge that they can be privy to innovative Internet development products that allow the small business owner to enhance his online storefront presence through the use of computer graphics and Internet site promotion software packages. These full color graphics will give their products the best representation on the Internet, where customers rely solely on written word and colorful photographs to make a good buying decision.

Some small business owners take advantage of choosing Internet hosting opportunities listings that might help them increase their work production in the very near future. The job opportunities that are found on some Web Hosting Sites, might offer fodder for small businesses that find employment for their own clients, through the employment listings that they see in black and white on these Internet hosting sites.

Which ever way you go about choosing Internet hosting opportunities, make sure it is a site that you can stay at for a very long time. Customers feel very secure with doing business with a company that does not keep switching from one web address to another all of the time, and this type of switching will confuse customers and some may not be able to find your next site.

Why diffrent web hosting sites charges diffrent prices for the same thing or pakeges ?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Web Hosting Sites

i want to create a site. when i visted diffrent sites for domain name and web hosting i seen they are charging diff prices for the same thing and what do u mean by space some are providing 1 gb and some unlimited in same price why this diffrence so and
WHICH IS THE BEST WEBHOSTING SITE IN INDIA?

Some companies may have higher costs to keep their server infrastructure going correctly. The price can generally vary depending on the hardware the host has, the amount of bandwidth guaranteed, and storage space. Costs may also vary depending on which country the host is in. Keep in mind, also, that the laws of whatever country your site is hosted from may apply to your site content.

How To Select A Web Site Host???

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Web Hosting Review

So, you grasp how to establish HTML files (web pages) and necessity to ground a website. You have a realm mention but don’t experience where to keep the files (web host). You gem legion web hosting companies offering a wide range of products but you can’t make heads or tails of all the features to decide which plan is right for you.Does this sound like you?If so, this article was written for you. Hopefully after reading it, you will have a better understanding of all the terms associated with web hosting and find a hosting company that is right for your business.

File Storage Space Usually hosting companies sell different packages centered around storage space. Storage space is specified in kilobytes (KB), megabytes (MB), or gigabytes (GB); a megabyte is 1000 kilobytes and a gigabyte is 1000 megabytes. How much storage space do you need? Well, that depends on what you are planning to do with your website. If you have only a few pages of text and little to no graphics or images, a 25 MB should be more than you will ever need. Most hosting packages start at 25 MB of storage space. When comparing web hosting companies for file storage space, be sure to check their terms and conditions to make sure they do not charge another setup fee for upgrading to a packge with more space.

One way to determine the size of your files in Microsoft Windows, right click the Start button and click Explore. Scroll down and select the file(s) or folder(s) you plan on using for your website. Right click on the selected file(s) or folder(s) and click Properties and you will see the size.Bandwidth Bandwidth is the measure of how much data flows through your site. It is usually expressed in GB transfered per month. If you are expecting a lot of hits (millions of page views) to your site you will need to get the most bandwidth you can afford. For new web sites it may take a while to get up to a significant bandwith. If you find you are approaching the bandwith limit, you can always upgrade to a plan with higher bandwidth. Some plans allow you to increase your monthly bandwidth for an additional monthly charge.

E-Mail Most hosting plans include a significant number of POP e-mail accounts and unlimited e-mail forwarding. POP accounts can be accessed with your current e-mail program and some hosts may include a webmail interface for your POP accounts. If you have several people that work for your web site/business and want them to have their own e-mail address, you will need to select a hosting plan with enough POP accounts. E-mail forwarding is when e-mail that is addressed to your website gets redirected to another e-mail address that you specify. Most plans include unlimited e-mail forwarding.

An example of e-mail forwarding: for one of my websites mail addressed to mike-@-mrgoodbeer.com, sales-@-mrgoodbeer.com, and webmaster-@-mrgoodbeer.com all get redirected to my Gmail address. With e-mail forwarding you can easily track where your e-mails are coming from. Be careful though…the more e-mail addresses you have, the more SPAM you will receive. Shared vs Dedicated When comparing hosting plans, you may notice plans for shared hosting and dedicated hosting.

Shared hosting simply means that your web site will be hosted with other websites on the same server or machine. Shared hosting is good for the average web site where speed is not a priority. A dedicated server is just that, a server that is dedicated to your website. The advantages of a dedicated server are speed and control. The disadvantage is cost, you will usually have to pay a much larger monthly fee for having a dedicated hosting plan. If you know nothing about Unix, Linux, or network administration make sure to get a managed dedicated server.

The hosting company will take care of all the security and software patches/updates that arise over time. Make sure to review the hosting company’s terms and FAQ concerning their dedicated servers to determine if their service is right for you. Support For the companies that do not have 24 hour support, you will have to determine if their phone support hours meet your specific needs. Make sure to note the location of the company and offset the support times for your time zone. If you plan on working on your web site during all hours of the day, make sure to choose a company with 24/7 phone support; otherwise, you will have to wait for them to open before you can get help to solve your problem. CGI Common Gateway Interface (CGI) is a program, also know as scripts, that can be run on a website to make the site more dynamic.

CGI programs can be written in PERL, C, Unix shell, and countless other languages. It is best to select a hosting plan that allows CGI because you will undoubtedly run across an application or game that you want to modify or include on your site. There are many resources on the web that list free CGI scirpts and countless companies offering CGI scripts for you to buy.

MySQL MySQL is used for creating and maintaining mesh based databases. If you anticipating having some scoop on your reservation that your users know-how necessity to bunch you leave usual desire to gem a web host that supports MySQL. Some hosting companies specify how many databases you can have on your site and charge an additional monthly fee if you want more. You will have to determine how many databases you will need and select the appropriate web hosting plan. FrontPage FrontPage is a website creation and management what-you-see-is-what-you-get (WYSIWYG) tool developed by Microsoft. The files generated by FrontPage may have extentions asscoiated with them. If you are using FrontPage to develop your site, you will need to make sure that the hosting plan you choose supports FrontPage extentions or your web pages may not display properly, if at all.

Server Operating System (OS) For most basic websites you will not have worry about which OS your web hosting company is using. Most plans are running on either Unix or Linux. For some unique web site features, you may need a Windows based server. Setup Fee Some hosting companies charge a setup fee when your account is created. This is usually a one time fee and may be waived, in some cases, when you pre-pay for your service. Check the hosting company’s terms carefully to determine the details of their setup fee. SPAM Filter Most hosting plans include some type of SPAM filter for your e-mail accounts. This feature can come in very handy if you are using POP email accounts. Shopping Cart Some hosting companies provide shopping cart features as part of their hosting plan. You do not have to worry about this featue if your web site is not selling products. Also, there are many different third party shopping cart applications and CGI scripts available on the web that you may choose to implement on your web site such as the ones found at PayPal

Choosing a Web Host: Research Before You Decide

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Web Hosting Review

Hundreds of hosting providers are competing these days to attract customers in different ways. In most cases, their offers look very similar, especially to those who are new to web hosting, making the selection of a good hosting provider a very difficult and confusing task.

If you are new to web hosting, you first need to know the basics of web hosting. You should know the answers to the following questions:
1. What is a web host?
2. What are the available host server platforms? What are the differences between server types?
3. What is the bandwidth?
4. What is a domain name? How Can I get one?
5. How can I create web pages?
6. What are scripting languages? What can I do with them?
7. What is FTP?
8. What features do I need for my website?

If you don’t know the answers to the above questions, you can find answers and hints here.

If you are only intending to build a small and simple personal website to publish your pet’s (or family) pictures, then you don’t need to worry, almost any hosting plan will meet your needs. You can go for the cheapest provider, even free ones.

However, If you are about to build a business site to sell goods or services, then you have to be careful about all the details of your new web host. You must read, research, compare and then decide. You don’t want to spend your time, effort and money to attract customers to a website that is not up to your business requirements; this will really hit your image.

It is certainly important to study the features required in the hosting plan. You must know what does storage capacity, bandwidth, platform and scripting languages mean, and how important each one is for your new website, but this is not enough, not at all.

After you shortlist the candidate hosts to only include the ones that meet your requirements, do some research on providers’ history, read some unbiased reviews about their services and explore some customer experience. These are the factors that should make your final decision.

Be careful when researching such information about a provider. Performing a quick search on google about “best web hosting” or “top 10 hosting companies” will not directly return the right and honest information. Most of hosting reviews sites are not actually providing honest reviews. Instead of giving it based on the quality of service, the highest ranks and best reviews are actually given to the companies paying higher commissions to their affiliates. I’ve seen this on quite a lot of review sites.

So, after you have narrowed your web host choices to several providers, you’ll need to take a more in-depth look at them before deciding which one you should go with. You have to perform a thorough evaluation process which might take hours, or even days, for each choice. Sources of information that can support your evaluation process can be in:
1. At least three honest and unbiased review sites.
2. Several reviews in more than one web hosting forum.
3. Direct feedback from real customers of the candidate providers.

Web Hosting Review Sites
Hosting directories and review sites are useful in the process of narrowing your search, especially those who provide an automatic search utility based on price, space, bandwidth, OS, etc. which can save your time and effort in this aspect.

Avoid review sites with “top 10″ sort of recommendations. Go for those which provide user reviews, and read the reviews carefully. Compare reviews and user opinions from as much review sites as you can, at least three. As stated above, be careful when reading customer reviews as some hosts might encourage their new customers to write favorable reviews by offering some advantages.

Web Hosting Forums
Open forums are important source of reviews and customer experience. They are open places where customers can write their reviews and opinions about their hosts. However, they can have the same problem as review sites: a provider can write very positive reviews about his own company. The opposite might also happen: competitors can write very negative reviews about their competitors. In some forums, this activity is not permitted. Moderators are strictly monitoring the forums for such activities and deal with them in away that preserve their honesty and credibility, but this cannot guarantee that all the reviews are 100% accurate and honest. Keep in mind: what fits with other users’ needs might not fit with your needs.

Search for “web hosting forum” in any search engine and you will get hundreds of them. My favorite one is www.webhostingtalk.com. Almost all forums have a search services from which you can search for your candidate hosting provider’s name or URL. If you get results for your search, read as much related threads as possible. If you don’t get results you can post a thread asking for customer reviews about the intended provider(s). Again, don’t base your final decision on one opinion. Read reviews in different threads on more than one forum.

Feedback from Customers
Some web hosts list samples of their customers. Others have forums on their websites for support, where you will see examples of issues raised by real customers and how did the company dealt with. On those forums you might get addresses of some customers. Try to contact those customers to find out what they think about the service and support.

At this point, you can make a decision based on a combination of the gathered information. You will most probably be satisfied with the host you choose.

The Importance of Web Hosting Uptime

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Web Hosting Review

What is the importance of web hosting uptime? The uptime factor refers to how often your website is accessible to the public. You have to understand that some businesses are so dependent on e-commerce and web marketing, that just a few minutes of downtime (in which the website is unavailable) could cost thousands of dollars in losses.

Therefore, website uptime is a major issue for some companies. Remember that you usually only get one chance to interest an online customer. If that user sees that your website is down he or she may conclude that your company is out of business or not really up to par when it comes to e-commerce. That person’s interest is lost, presumably forever. Frequent downtime reflects poorly on the reputation of a company, especially if that company is selling technology-related products. Honestly, how much faith in a website can a customer have if they apparently can’t manage to keep their own site online?

If your business plan calls for a great deal of online sales or for massive traffic then this feature is very important. Additionally, if you only have limited traffic but are marketing your services to people across the world, then this feature will be important, because of differing time zones.

Most competitive companies offer an uptime percentage of about 99%, and some as far as 99.9%. In addition to an uptime guarantee take note of the company’s attitude towards customer satisfaction. If there is something wrong with your website, then any downtime resulting will not count against the standard 99.9% uptime rate. However, technical difficulties can knock out a website for hours or even days. Make sure that the company you work with has customer support, technical support, and hopefully a phone line that is available 24 hours a day.

How do you go about choosing a web hosting company? It seems as if every company out there claims to have high uptime rates. There is not really a way to verify uptime on your own. Rather, you can get this information from review sites that offer detailed analysis of many top web providers. There are even some websites that now offer uptime tracking for online viewers interested in a web hosting service.

If you want to professionalize your company and ensure that uptime is never a problem, then look for better quality services that guarantee a 99.9% uptime percentage and have the positive reviews to back up their claims.
